If you’re attending the 2010 Sakai Conference, be sure to leave room on your calendar for the pre-conference events taking place on Monday, June 14.
On Monday night, please join us for an rSmart Customer Appreciation Dinner, being held at the Centennial Room in the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Enjoy food and drinks while you meet with rSmart staff, other rSmart clients, and invited guests. For more information, click here.
During the day, you'll find several events to choose from, including the following:
Another pre-conference event, "T & L Show and Tell," will involve participation from conference attendees. Two of the event's presenters are from rSmart client institutions--Robin Hill is Coordinator of Instructional Computing at the University of Wyoming, and Rob Coyle is Instructional Designer and Sakai Functional Administrator at Johns Hopkins University. They'll be joining Mathieu Plourde, LMS Project Leader at the University of Delaware.
Before the event, the presenters will ask conference attendees to volunteer specific examples of how they use Sakai to improve the teaching and learning experience. These examples will then be put together for the presentation. The goal is to help generate ideas and areas of focus before the conference begins; the presenters also plan to create a web site for the examples.
We hope to see you at the rSmart Customer Appreciation Dinner, as well as these other pre-conference events. They're a great way to start the conference!
