Portfolio Type:
Personal Representation
Chronological Resume Screenshot

The personal representation portfolio depicted here is an example of a chronological resume, developed by the Career Services Office at Rider University (New Jersey). The purpose of the portfolio was to provide students with a structured environment to build an online resume. The focus of this portfolio is developmental as it seeks to guide students in collecting information about themselves and managing the representation of their virtual identities.

Rider has chosen to use Forms inside the Wizard tool to create a developmental scaffold that invites students to provide information about themselves and upload artifacts that speak to their talents, skills, understandings or accomplishments. A reflection form has been added to each wizard page to allow students to make notes on their use of each form if need be. Instructions in the form indicate that "Reflections may include your plans for further development in this area. Once students have completed an instance of the Chronological Wizard, they are able to build a portfolio through the use of a specially designed portfolio template associated with this wizard. Advisors, mentors, or anyone else with permission to access participant wizards may use the feedback form on each page to provide formative feedback to individuals about their work on forms n preparation for creating a resume.
