Personal Workspace

Each user in the rSmart Sakai CLE gets his/her own personal workspace site. This personal workspace is used to manage personal account settings, search for joinable course, project or portfolio sites, store documents for editing and sharing with others, search other users' profiles and view upcoming events and announcements.

The institution can configure the tools it wishs to make available to users within their personal workspace. Institutions may choose all or some subset of the following tools for use in the personal workspace:

Calendar Add personal appointments and view an aggregated view of all other course, project and portfolio appointments, events & due dates. image #2 Announcements View a synoptic listing of all announcements sent by Instructors, Project Owners and Portfolio Organizers. image #2	Resources Upload, store and edit files & folders online. Optionally share these files with others. Portfolios View a synoptic display of all portfolios you've published within the portfolio sites in which you are a participant. Matrices View a synoptic display of all matrices you're working on within your portfolio sites. News Add your favorite news URL and display current events within your personal workspace. Web Content Add your favorite website and display it within your personal workspace. Search Look for content within or across sites in which you're a member. image #2	Profile Use Profile to manage information others see about you in the system. Optionally hide your personal information. Search and view other users' profiles. Membership Use Membership to manage your participation in sites. Search for sites of interest and join them. Preferences Use Preferences to customize your own notification and display options. Account Use Account to view or change your name, email or password in the system. Site Setup Use Site Setup to manage your own personal workspace. Depending on permissions, you may also use it to create, edit and delete courses, projects and portfolios.
