Sakai and rSmart

rSmart is a commercial open source software company. We, along with leading colleges and universities around the world, are forging a new software development and business model for open source systems in education.

As a founding Sakai commercial affiliate, rSmart is dependent upon the success of the Sakai community (www.sakaiproject.org), and ensuring the vitality of this community is our top priority. We support the Sakai community with participation on many levels. Members of our staff have served on the Sakai board (the first non-academic board member was rSmart's Chris Coppola) and have been recognized as Sakai Fellows for significant community contributions. We work hand-in-hand with the community to further the goals of the Sakai project.
