What is the total cost of rSmart Sakai? We can’t provide a precise answer on the spot, but the information and examples below are a good place to start.

For most institutions there are three components to the total cost:

Bucket One: Onetime Implementation Services

This cost is highly variable. Rather than a standardized service package, we provide a more customized menu of services. This allows us to match services exactly to what you need. It also makes pricing more variable.

Our average implementation services cost is about $35,000 Our lowest implementation cost is $18,000 Our most expensive implementations are close to $90,000.

Bucket Two: Ongoing Support Services

The cost of our ongoing support services is based on a simple and predictable formula. Simply find the number of students on the table below to see your support cost.

Bucket Three: Internal Staff Costs

Who supports your learning management system today? Whatever your answer, these are the same staff who will be needed to support rSmart Sakai. You will not need additional staff.

None of our current customers has ever added programming staff for Sakai.

However, several of our customers already had programming staff in place before moving to Sakai. Those staff, who were creating innovative learning applications for their faculty, are now building them in Sakai. We look forward to evaluating their work for possible inclusion in rSmart Sakai.
